Sticky Rice Festival

A parade/festival in which the main attraction is a 12 foot long, 2 feet wide sticky rice cake that is cut up and shared with everyone in the audience. The huge rice cake is what is on the float in the picture above.

Tet Two

A few more pictures from Tet. Because Adam's Aunt works for the government run tourist industry we got tickets to the big concert/variety show that went on until about 11:30 and then we watched the fireworks from the roof of a nearby hotel.
Seriously.

Baby Hanh.

Little Ty, Ly, Mathilde, Big Ty, and Me.

Who is that strange person jumping around in the middle of the steet?

Every country has their own version of the backstreet boys.

Happy Belated Tet!

Running behind on updating the blog... These are pictures from Tet. The lights are much more exciting than they appear here.

Whenever I pass one of these balloon guys I prepare myself to run and grab his legs down from the sky. That's a lot of helium for one little person.

I don't know who these little girls are, but they were so cute that I couldn't resist taking a photo.

Mmm...cake decorated with rats and ratitas...
