We drove up to Toronto for Buskerfest at the end of August. Buskerfest is a street performers festival held every year to support epilepsy. Magicians, break dancers, contortionists, fire dancers, jugglers, and other performers entertain the public and at the end of their show, the public pays what they feel the entertainment was worth. In addition to the street gigs, there are bands playing on several different stages and people in costume walking or riding on a crazy contraption throughout the crowds.

Catching Up
Somehow my sisters talk me in to playing in their company softball game- come on what could happen? Two outs and with a bit of beginners luck I knock one in to left field and get on base. I run to second and glance at the batter up. It is my little sister and she plays quite often so I figure I am headed to third. She whacks the ball low between second and third and in trying to avoid the ball, I jump right into it with the arch of my right foot. I broke my foot and/or tore some ligaments and was either using crutches or a boot for most of the summer.
Because of the foot, things were much more mellow than I like them to be. We stayed in the same place for three months! But being near my family was great and we certainly made the best of the situation.
Here are some photos from the summer: Opening Day Rockies game, the Greeley Blues Fest, camping, fishing and Baltimore.

I went to visit my old roommate Britt who is going to Johns Hopkins for her Masters in Public Health. We went to the Visionary Arts Museum (crazy bus and glass tree) and ate crabs.
