Mud Bath

We rented a motorbike this morning and drove through the mountains to some little towns around Nha Trang. Elaborate, colorful grave sites dot the countryside. Sometimes the grave sites are larger and certainly more decorated than the houses that surround them.

We followed signs that read "mud bath" in English until we ended up at an amazing mineral water spa retreat on a mountain. It is barely marketed to tourists and is well hidden so we had no expectations, but it turned out to be our favorite place in Nha Trang. For 60,000 Dong (less than $4) you get a hot mineral shower, a mud bath, a hot spring bath and access to the mineral swimming pool with waterfalls. It was so relaxing...just what we needed to ease the stresses of perpetual vacation...

Damn, hot muddy mama! That mudbath looks amazing!! Fall colors are here, so I've gone on a big mountain photo drive to capture the golden aspens. It's fun comparing my experiences with the familliar beauty of Colorado with your discovery of such new, exotic beauty in Vietnam. I love your posts.

I miss you two,
Al
